Dream Types
An Introduction to the many different dream types

The many types of dreams can be broken down into three main types of dreams: Physical Dreams, Subconscious Dreams and Super conscious Dreams.Physical dreams are said to be those dreams which are caused by or affected by actual noises we hear while entering into or in the dream state. For example we may hear a car alarm going off, sirens from an ambulance or fire truck, maybe even dogs barking, or one we all may have experienced, the alarm clock going off and we somehow manage to incorporate that into our dream (I am sooo guilty of that!).

The third type of dream is the super-conscious dream and they are usually referred to as visions or spiritual awareness. Visions are different from other dreams mainly because they can occur while you are awake. While being in the waken state and having a vision is not commonplace, it does happen. Visions also occur during sleep but most often happen while you are in between sleep and wakefulness. Popular belief is that the in between state is when visions most often occur.

We will further explore the several sub categories of dreams that fall under these three main types of dreams.
